Projects that are in constant brewing phases. They come in various iterations as the artist discovers and learns new values and tools for creative ways to gather

omiyagekage

a life-performance on creating meaningful encounters through postcards, letter-writing, papercuts, prints, and stickers as pieces of remembrance. Coined from two Japanese words, omiyage (souvenir) and kage (shadow), its origins come from an enriching 17-day development period the artist, 『 s i g l o 』 , experienced in Japan in 2022, and shared with the humans the artist encountered in the streets and safe spaces for creation.

In this project, the idea of acts of memories and remembrances are highlighted as an impetus for a creative action to memorialize the quality of engagement and relationship forged with the Encountered.

Padayon Ngayon at Bukas

speculative dystopian futures under failing democratic leaderships in the Philippines and the world.

A collaboration between life-partner artists, 『 s i g l o 』 and Adrienne Vergara, the project will have a playful meme-generation about policies, hearsays, fake news taken on a different level of parallel universe speculations.

Through papercuts, prints, sketches, stickers, pins, doodles and comic strips, the platforms are both online, and on the ground.

sleeping duwende

an interactive moonlight midnight gathering launched in 2020 as part of a 72-hour participatory online performance gathering. It has 2 iterations, the radio, a playlist-building + song-sharing time-x-space gathering sharing songs, poems, curiosities from midnight to four in the morning; and a game night from seven in the evening to midnight.

The project offers a safe avenue for gatherings as a form of ritual-building and contemporary culture expressions.

MINIKANIKO [a LABoratory performance]

is a project that investigates on the space and time dynamics through a scaled-down dystopian metropolis. A make-shift laboratory operation on structures, MINIKANIKO dissects a scaled-down mother plan of a city where a sole laboratory operator facilitates the entire labwork and is caught up in a paradox of omnipotence over the entire process. Although the paradox aims to picture the nature of power as the quintessential variable of the trope, this project looks at omniscience at a certain degree, where methodology is as important as holding the full autonomy of this dubbed Laboratory operation.

The project is an open allegory of the city and the departments that constitute the entire state.

MINIKANIKO is a puppetry of operations, structures, systems and the dynamics it beholds. A scaled-down mother plan, the minipolitan, is set-up, observed and manipulated by the master-puppeteer, the Laborator.

dream&build_ph

is our participatory roleplaying game [rpg] sharing the dreams, stories, aspirations, and value-formation for nation-building. Originally programmed as a voter's education game in early 2022 for a few select youth leaders, this rpg seeks to recalibrate into a gamified workshop for civic education through speculative scenarios about the contemporary socio-economic issues we face as a community.

This project was made possible through the Taumbayan project of the Young Public Servants

a guided-tour performance showcasing the historical and heritage site tourism of the Philippines. The audience are immersed as tourist-clients as the artists collaborate with the city, the public, and history. An offshoot of the Serbisyo Project, the tour guides formerly members of the artist collective, Komunidad X, programmed a 2-day curated tour to museums, restaurants, towns, heritage sites, and new artist run studios. The performance unpacks the labor practices in the service and tourism industries in the Philippines.
